Sun please set and kill this day. Please just make it go away. I've had enough of this parade. Behind the nice view lies a self-inflicted tyranny. We hear the roar of the consequence getting close, deafening. This wake-up call is doomed forever to remain ignored. Play your goddamn tune and expect the whole world to dance to it. You'll be judge, jury and executioner of yourself. All of our actions and choices will have an immutable impact. Take every step carefully because you can never go back. Cause-effect goes too often unobserved living like there's no tomorrow. Denial is a shortcut you will regret taking when the damage's done. When did you decide to grossly oversimplify? Does it feel so right to cast your conscience aside? When the harm has been done you will be wandering in the dark, you'll try to hide behind your words. You cannot run from whatever you've done. Who do you think you're you deceiving?

Time will pass and it will feel like a heart beat. Seconds pumping in my chest like a reckoning. The several mysteries, that once seemed so far and unreal, now endanger my clarity and conscience. I feel these words as if their meaning was weight lifted from me. But I know you will share my burden. Go on and read them, I have come to doubt them. No trust left to expend. No light at the fucking tunnel end. Still I'm perceiving the slow disappearance of a fragmentary spirit that is dying. Finally revealing the harrowing meaning of a million tricky words I had faith in. Just to pretend that I'm strong I will steady my nerves, I will weigh every word or I'll say nothing at all. When my tired eyes overflow you will know we have gone too far. I'm so weakened but not ready to let go. Even though I may have reasons, I've no right, have no means, have no will to resist it all. I know it's a battle lost.

Petrified I'm standing in the distance, waiting for the proper moment to react and figure out what's easy and what's right. My breath is cold, my eyes wide shut. Frame by frame reality unfolds and shows its unforgiving nature. Commiseration's more than I can spare. Watch me fall. Pull me down. Everything in vain. Encased in stone, it can't be undone. Get in line and take your chance, I'll watch you deploy your forces. No pain, no gain. Well, it's nothing new to me, it's as old as history. Missteps in evolution we're never gonna give up this insane illusion of safety and control. It's a shelter made of words. Dance your way to full extinction. Soon enough you will be forever gone.

Hit me with all you got. Before my strength subsides I'll mend my spirit and begin a new journey. Not driven by any grit, but by a blind obstinacy. A thirst I've never quenched. A desire I've grown to hate. You can change what you do but you can't change what you want. I've grown fond of this burden I've tried so hard to unload. We each owe a death but, oh God, sometimes the Green Mile seems so long. Tear me apart limb from limb. Once again I'll come back from the dead. A road I've walked so many times before. Holding on to a dying dream. Years of fighting tooth and nail for it. Waiting for the moment when our exhausted hearts will beat as one.

There's no more time to spend worrying about something you will never understand. There is nothing more I can do for you. I gave everything I had and now I'm done. I don't look for a scapegoat, I don't need anyone to blame. I'm just trying to silence those voices that keep me awake at night. If you're sure that I'm always wrong then you can't ignore the fact that I will be wrong again and again. Remember that time won't wait. Drive off all misgivings. Remember that time won't wait. Kill the fear in your eyes. I know some truths are just too much to bear. You're aware this is our trial, we can't keep living in denial. After all these years it's safe to say that we have gone astray. Don't you see that we are feeding off each other’s misery? Pushing all the limits, disregarding what's at stake. Tell me it wasn't all for nothing, tell me it wasn't a mistake. Inflamed by bitterness, trapped here till the end. We'll be laughing off our doubts while staring down at this damnation. Carrying on with our lives. We led ourselves astray.

Our nightmare awaits to takeover. A plot is flowering in the shadows of our complexity. From this moment on we'll be wandering without a compass. Like a bunch of sheep walking to the slaughter trying to reassure what's left of each other. Powerless we move on as we bite the bullet. Behold our commander charging backwards against us. Following is an easy task, like shooting myself in a barrel. Abandon what has been and will never be again. For so many of us, the journey is lonely. The road is long. The path uncertain. With a dead end cause and a failing heart we stick together bracing for impact. Kneel again before mountains of new idols. Can't you see they're made of scorn and enmity? A brutal mechanism fueled by greed. Like boats against the current, borne back into the past.

Hey, it feels like yesterday but seven years have past. Reckless nights I won't forget. Hey, it feels like yesterday but seven years have past. I cherish every minute spent in there with my friends. Every moment's flashing back. My mind keeps going from those days, to these days. Silly jokes and memories of vodka/antacid combos. Grinding old games as the storm was raging. And all the times we've spent speaking hearts out till the morning. When the times were bad you always were there for me, to cheer me up again and soothe the pain with more ardent singalongs. I can picture me and my friends all wrestling without shirts. Headlock! Leg drop! Those were the shouts. Fast forward ten seconds, accordion caterpillars were crawling on the floor. The docs were calling for a last round! Drunken nights and laughs and fights are blending in my head. A gem to hold dear in years to come. Endless nights and shows and cries are coming back to me. Blaring, resounding like friendship itself. It's about time we gather to raise our glasses to these awesome days.

Endlessly part of a plan B to make up for our wrongs. We fought against the day but now we've lost.
Never over, inescapable cycle, seen a million times before, deep and stormy as an ocean.
