I will run, I will rush, I will chase the impossible. Reckless like a bullet cast out of a smoking gun. I'll survive this endless streak of backbreaking and ruthless chapters. Bring it on. Hit me with all you got. Before my strength subsides I'll mend my spirit and begin a new journey. Not driven by any grit, but by a blind obstinacy. A thirst I've never quenched. A desire I've grown to hate. You can change what you do but you can't change what you want. I've grown fond of this burden I've tried so hard to unload. We each owe a death but, oh God, sometimes the Green Mile seems so long. Tear me apart limb from limb. Once again I'll come back from the dead. A road I've walked so many times before. Holding on to a dying dream. Years of fighting tooth and nail for it. Waiting for the moment when our exhausted hearts will beat as one.
